Sunday Post: 5 Finds From Around The Internet

It’s Sunday Post time again! This week you’ll find posts from around the Internet about a yummy  asparagus soup, healthy organic “shots”, a DIY lip scrub, and more! So read on!

Y’all, I have been making this Roasted Garlic and Asparagus Soup recipe lately that my husband and I absolutely love! I know it is such a simple recipe, but I still wanted to share. I whip this up and serve it with a little salad and some gluten free Brazi Bites and we sit back and savor… Up until recently I had never made asparagus soup. Crazy, I know! The health benefits of asparagus are top notch! Check it out!

Oy vey! This has been a crazy winter in Houston. Snow twice! And it’s been downright cold most of the time as compared to our relatively mild winters in the 6o’s. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a welcome change to actually have a “winter”, but all the indoor heat, dry air, and frigid temps are taking a toll on my skin, including my lips. This DIY lip scrub from One Good Thing sounds yummy and something I’d definitely want to put on my lips. I can’t wait to try it!

Speaking of winter, are you doing anything extra to try and stay healthy this year? Besides my extra vitamins C and D, I started drinking these turmeric shots by Buda Juice, once a day. Our local grocery store, HEB, sells them, but you can also get them other places as well or order online at Buda Juice. A pack of 6 runs about $10, but so far this year I have not gotten the flu! Fingers crossed! There are several great formulas to help keep you up and running at your best!

I’m always exited to discover new apps that make life easier or just a little more productive. And, I had no idea about the phone battery hack! Genius! Check out the list on The Chriselle Factor. I think I am going to try the Acorns app and the Halide app. Have you tried them? Do you have any apps that you love and want to share? Please let me know in the comments section below.
